To enhance and encourage career development and networking among students and working professionals, while developing an appreciation for the role of women in business.
WIB Conference 2008
The conference will include sessions on marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, management, and work-life balance. The format will vary from individual speakers, to workshops, to panels. Topics will include emerging trends, best practices, career strategies, and more. While this is a woman-focused event, the planning of the event and participation in the event is not limited to women since many issues will be relevant to all business people.
This year's conference will focus on how people can profit both personally and professionally, monetarily and emotionally, from doing things they are passionate about.
The conference will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2008 at the EMC in Santa Clara, CA.

On behalf of Dean Posner and the Student Life staff of Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business, I am especially pleased to announce the 6th annual Women in Business Conference, "Profit from Passion" Our mission, as faculty and staff, is to provide the framework in which women and men develop as compassionate leaders in their companies, in their communities, and in those organizations that seek to make a difference in our lives.
The Women in Business Conference is a one-day conference organized by our Graduate Business students, where prominent businesswomen serve as speakers and panelists. The personal interaction in these seminars provides an outstanding opportunity for graduate business students and other professionals in the community to learn from successful women business leaders and entrepreneurs.
